Saluzzesi Pelaverga
This
is a rare wine from the Saluzzo area, mentioned in
1511 when Margherita di Foix – the wife of Ludovico II, Marquis
of Saluzzo – gave it as a present to Pope Julius II.
He was so enthusiastic about this wine that he requested it for
his table.

Pelaverga
Colour: light red
Bouquet: fresh and fruity with a hint of cherry,
raspberry and delicate spices.
Palate: dry, harmonious and soft with aromas recalling the
bouquet.
Serve with: vegetarian dishes, pasta, fish dishes, white meat,
soft cheese.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C.
